Quick Cure...it's all about the senses!!

Hi everyone!
Welcome to 'Outta This Funk' where our goal will be to help you get outta your funk. I know we all find ourselves in a funk at one time or another...and we hope that this is the place where you'll be able to get your mojo back!

I wanted to post a QUICK CURE!

When my mojo has disappeared... and Funk has moved in... I try to get my creative juices flowing again with the help of my SENSES!

1. SOUND: Turn on some of your favorite music! (Right now, it's Christmas Music, but Harry Potter Soundtracks always get me in the mood, too!)

2. SMELL: Light a candle in your scrap space.... something light and cheery and delicious! Or a little burst of air freshener...maybe some potpourri. How about a few cinnamon sticks nearby!

3. TOUCH: Take a few minutes to straighten up your work station...or go through a couple of drawers or bins...reorganize some supplies...just get back in touch with your goodies!!

4. TASTE: Yes...this is very important, too... a nice cup of French Vanilla coffee works well...or maybe a delcious Orange Spice Tea... Chocolate works great, too! Keep a little basket of candy on your work station for when you need to open up the senses!

5. SIGHT: Come to this blog and check out the inspirational projects posted by the Inspirational Team...or...look through an old magazine...or surf the net for some inspiration...it's everywhere!

OK...now that you have all 5 senses working... your mind should be ready to create!! Try it!

Post a comment here and let me know what YOUR favorite scrapbooking SOUND is... what sort of music do you like to listen to that helps get YOUR creative juices dancing!

Dee ;)

I like this idea blog that you girlies got going on!

Right now my favorite sound is the sounds of the Christmas season! I love listening to my Josh Groban and Michael Buble Holiday music :)

I'm so excited to see what you girls have planned! I could really use some inspiration this weekend. I have the time to scrap but can't seem to get motivated.

I've been listening to Christmas music in my scraproom but after 3 weeks of it, I'm getting a bit tired of it. So now its back to dance music, 80's music, hip hop.... anything fast and upbeat.

ohhhh..yummy!!! the taste sense is making me hungry -lol!!! Love this Dee! Very true and very creative! I think my favorite "sound" is just the tv and my family chatting away...I scrap right here in my family room so when it's full with my family I'm happy and ready to scrap!

I like to tune in to the oldies station and get my scrappin' groove on with some early 60's music!

I usually like it quiet when I scrap but I'm all about the smell! I find that if I light a candle in my studio then I'll stay put and work for ages!

Oh Dee, you've got some great ideas! I really need to learn how to update my ipod, because the same 21 songs that have been on it for the past....forever....really don't inspire me much anymore. HA HA!

Love the idea of a candle though. Smelly candles really relax me.

I usually enjoy the quiet when the kids are in bed LOL. But my choice of music is Robbie Williams. His Best of CD.
