Hello there! Jen here. I love it when I find items at the grocery that are packaged in containers that are alterable. I feel like I'm getting something for free. I had dish-washing soap on my grocery list and as I perused the shelf, I spotted a tin full of soap....and even better.... it was cheaper than all the other soaps! I snatched that tin right away and then I threw a couple more into my grocery cart for good measure. After a little sanding and painting, I added some paper, ribbon, stickers, and other fun embellishments. I changed that soap tin into a cute little container to hold all kinds of things...from recipe cards to hard candies.

Oh Jen, cute! So does the soap work well? :D I mean, if we are going to go out and buy it for the tin, I want to know if it works, lol.
I love what you did.

Don't ya wish they still sold bandaids in the tin? that was another cute freebie.

Lucky Stinker!

There were two of those tins at my store and BOTH of them were beat beyond any use. So contrats for having gentle grocer's!

Hello!
I stumbled in your blog. I love the way you changed this tin box. Just amazing! Great job! I sometimes transofrm old boxes too: it's just great to see what we can do with old, dull, dirty boxes or free ones!
